Who we are

We are a small team of People, Developers, Designers, SysAdmins, and above all else friends.

We started L6Hosting because we wanted to do what we love, and help people while doing it. Our aim is to provide web services that are both affordable and reliable, with an honest and open relationship with our customers. We believe that people come before money and are building L6 with those values.

Our values

As a small start-up company, our values centre around the idea that our customers are individuals, whether they be people or businesses. We recognise that each one of our customers is unique, and so we try to offer the best possible solutions to meet their individual needs.

Right from the very first time a customer visit our website, through to growing and scaling their websites, we like to maintain the best possible relationship we can with each of our customers.

The name

One of the hardest things about starting a new business might be finding a great name, and we were no exception.

After months of thought we settled on L6Hosting, so what does it mean? L6Hosting has two parts, L6 and Hosting, while the Hosting part is self explanatory the L6 came from the ISO Computing Model. We looked at this and noticed that Layer 6 was the presentation layer, the layer that brings everything together; So we shortened it to L6, stuck Hosting on the end and there you go! It also happened to be the one that was least used by other brands and sounded the best.

Locations

Currently all of our services are run on servers located Europe, we are planning to expand services to North America and Oceania in the future.

Our team are positioned throughout the world, from America to Australia, this allows us to provide a truly global service to our customers.

From the moment we started L6 we knew that we would need to work with other companies to offer the services that we do today.

We understand that as a service provider we not only have a responsibility to our customers, but also a responsibility to the wider communities that we are apart of.

L6Hosting is officially for Net Neutrality - the idea that everyone should have equal access to the global internet - and we are committed to being environmentally friendly where possible.
